Feelin' a little dumb today.  I always do this when it is actually time to write-freeze up like a banana (see!  Terrible Similes!  The grammar police should be here at any minute) I'm going to think about what I want to write about, and if inspiration hasn't struck by next weekend I'm plunging into old challenges.  Regrettably, I have little-to-no-time to write during the week.  I’m taking 15 hours at college and working 30 hours at my job.  If you think I’m not excruciatingly busy, you’d be mistaken.  The summer will be better for writing.

I’ve been lurking in the fanfiction ranks for about years and years now.  I actually kept up with the exchange this year, and my goal is to post a one-shot or two to build confidence so that perhaps I could participate in the next one.  It was inspiring, all of that awesome work. 

I’m really an HG/SS shipper.  One reason I haven’t written anything is that I wonder if all the good ideas aren’t already taken.  I would love to write a Marriage Law fic, but I don’t know if I could go any better than-say- Care of Magical Creatures by miamadwyn  or Tyger, Tyger by bloodcult_of_freud-two superlative fics. 

So, I went onto Deviant Art to look at the awesome fic, An Unreasonable Man, by Lulabelle72.  She was having a contest and I won!  I got to pick a prompt and she’s writing me a one shot.  I’m so excited to read it.  She told me I could pick anything I wanted, so I picked a kink (no, I’m not telling you what it is, you’ll just have to read it after posting) and told her I wanted lemons. Tee hee.  I’m glad I didn’t scare her off.

This will be my home for fanfic, stuff I’ve read and, eventually, hopefully, stuff I’ve written.
